Dhamian Blue's primary practice area is civil litigation, wherein he represents clients in a wide variety of cases that range from business litigation to severe personal injuries. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Justice Center, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County, and Artsplosure.
Dhamian began his legal career as an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group of Dickstein Shapiro LLP in Washington, D.C. He routinely represented corporate policyholders against insurance companies, gaining significant experience in claims for environmental liability, products liability, professional malpractice liability, and foreign asset expropriation. After leaving Dickstein Shapiro, Dhamian joined Temple Law Offices, also in Washington, D.C., where he represented individuals and small businesses in litigation matters that included police misconduct, employment discrimination, and predatory lending. Dhamian served as the Chair of the Washington Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division from 2006 through 2007.
Dhamian graduated from the Duke University School of Law in May 2003, and also earned an A.B. from Duke in 2000. He majored in both Public Policy Studies and Economics. In law school, Dhamian was a member of the Moot Court Board, and in 2003, a member of the Regional Championship team that advanced to the National Moot Court Competition sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers. Dhamian was selected by the Duke Law School Class of 2003 to deliver the student address during the law school graduation ceremony. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Jenna, who is an attorney in the Wake County Public Defender's Office.
